Three new AA-powered Nikon Coolpix cameras

Rounding out its announcements for the day, Nikon has three new cameras for its Coolpix L- and S-series lineups, all of which are aimed at photographers who shun proprietary battery packs in favor of standard AA cells. The Nikon Coolpix S30 and L26 are both compacts that draw their lifeblood from a pair of AA batteries, while the Coolpix L810 has an SLR-like body that requires a full set of four AA cells.
