Sony Electronics Inc. has today unveiled its new Sony TX55 ultracompact digital camera, a followup to the TX100V model that started shipping last March. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX55 has an even slimmer body than its predecessor, at just 12.2mm thick, excluding its sliding lens barrier. To put things in perspective, that's fully 1/3 less thick than the TX100V, and actually a little over 1-2mm thinner than a standard AA battery.
