Rounding out its pre-PMA announcements, Sigma has offered significantly more information on its upcoming SD15 digital SLR. First announced in September 2008 at the Photokina tradeshow, the Sigma SD15 is a direct successor to the now rather long-in-the-tooth SD14 model, which first shipped in March 2007. The Sigma SD15's near-APS-C sized Foveon image sensor is unchanged from that in the SD14, and still yields a final image size of 4.7 megapixels.
