Sigma SD1: New firmware improves IQ, stability

Japan's Sigma Corp. has issued updated firmware for its flagship SD1 camera, the highest-resolution SLR announced to date using a Foveon X3 image sensor. Sigma SD1 version 1.03 makes a number of changes to improve image quality of the SD1. Among the changes, the company notes improved white balance accuracy, along with better evaluative exposure metering, and more accurate flash exposures.
