Ricoh Co. Ltd. has today announced a successor to its rugged G600 camera, the Ricoh G700, and aimed at use in environments such as construction, public works, disaster sites, medical facilities, and production sites. The new Ricoh G700 is waterproof to five meters for up to two hours, and completely dustproof, meriting an IP68 rating. The G700 is also shockproof to the MIL-STD-810F, a test that requires it to be dropped a total of 26 times onto two-inch thick plywood over concrete.
