Panasonic Consumer Electronics Co. has today announced its new Panasonic FZ47 digital camera, which we believe will also be known as the FZ48 in some markets. The Panasonic Lumix FZ47 is interesting in particular for the fact that it offers 60 interlaced fields-per-second video at Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels, aka 1,080i) from a CCD image sensor, rather than the more typical CMOS chips that tend to be used in cameras providing Full HD video.
