Cambridge, UK-based photo book company HotPrints Ltd. yesterday announced that it will cease operations from the end of the month, according to a post in the company's support forums. Since late 2009, HotPrints has offered photo books under an unusual, ad-supported business model that initially saw Facebook users receive one free photo book each month. By mid-2010, this had been changed to the current offer of four photo books monthly, but with a shipping charge of approximately $3 per book.
