Fujifilm North America Corp. has fulfilled a promise made late last year a little ahead of schedule, by announcing the Fujifilm X-Pro1--its first true compact system camera--at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, instead of at a Japanese tradeshow as recently suggested. The X-Pro1 is an interesting camera for a number of reasons, not least of which being that it's the first time the company has offered a mirrorless, interchangeable-lens model.
