The Camera & Imaging Products Association has today published figures on 2009 digital camera shipments, as well as offering its predictions for the 2010 market. For the third straight year, CIPA reported global digital camera shipments of over 100 million units, although unit sales did fall by 11.6% from 2008 to some 105.9 million units. The sales drop came entirely in the fixed-lens market, which shrank by some 12.8% over 2008 levels.
