Canon has today announced its Rebel T2i, the latest addition to (and new flagship model for) its EOS Rebel series, and we've just published our Canon T2i preview. Also known in some markets as the EOS 550D, the Canon EOS Rebel T2i is based around a variant of the eighteen megapixel image sensor from the company's EOS 7D prosumer digital SLR, modified to provide four-channel rather than eight-channel readout.
