SILKYPIX: New Mac / Windows versions, US upgrade offer

Shortcut Software International Inc has recently released updates to Raw image processing software SILKYPIX, as well as announcing an upgrade promotion. Authored by Japan's Ichikawa Soft Laboratory, SILKYPIX Developer Studio v4.0 is available for users of both Windows and Mac operating systems in two variants - either standard or Pro. For Mac users, SILKYPIX Developer Studio v4.0 is newly available in the US market in both standard and Pro versions.

Samsung Electronics completes Digital Imaging merger

Right on schedule, Samsung Electronics has today completed its merger with Samsung Digital Imaging -- making good on a plan the company announced late last year. The merger was approved by Samsung Digital Imaging shareholders on February 23rd, and the European Commission cleared the plan a couple of days ago. As expected, Samsung Digital Imaging shareholders received 0.0577663 shares in Samsung Electronics for each share held, for a total valuation of around US$880 million.

HP Reaches Settlement with Print-Rite

PALO ALTO, Calif., April 1, 2010 -- HP today announced it has reached a settlement agreement with Hong Kong based Print-Rite Holdings Ltd. relating to HP 02 inkjet cartridges. (1) As part of the settlement, Print-Rite acknowledges that HPs patents are valid and in effect. Easy Release update available

ApplicationGap has issued an update to Easy Release, the application for creating model and property releases on Apple's iPhone. Easy Release v1.5.100321 adds compatibility with iPhone software 3.1.2, which was released last October. There are quite a few other changes besides, including the ability to customize legal text on the release, including placeholders for fields that need to be filled in when the release is signed.
