Adobe Lightroom 3 enters second beta

Adobe Labs has today released the latest beta preview of its digital darkroom software, Photoshop Lightroom 3 beta 2. First released in beta form last October, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 featured an overhauled imaging engine with improved algorithms for chrominance noise reduction and sharpening, while retaining the ability to use the old algorithms if desired. Also on offer were new vignetting and grain tools, and a redesigned workflow -- especially in the area of image import.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT2

Hard on the heels of the popular DMC-FT1 comes Panasonic's latest ‘rugged' digicam, the equally slim, but even tougher, DMC-FT2. Resolution has been increased to 14.1 megapixels and the body of the new model is waterproof to 10 metres instead of three. It can also withstand a drop of two metres (up from 1.5 metres) and is usable at temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.
