Pentax preps photo workshops

The official Facebook page of Pentax Imaging Co. has been updated with an events section, and two events added to get the ball rolling. Bibble 5.03 update extends Raw support

Hot on the heels of last month's update to its freshly overhauled RAW file converter, Bibble Labs has unveiled another incremental update that adds further Raw file support and lens calibration parameters. Bibble 5 Pro first debuted at the end of December 2009, and February's update added or improved support for a dozen new cameras, plus a new Soft Proofing function. The new Bibble 5.0.2 rolls in the previous changes, and adds support for the Canon EOS Rebel T2i digital SLR (also known as the EOS 550D or EOS Kiss X4), as well as the Olympus E-PL1 single-lens direct view camera.

Fujfilm: New firmware for long-zoom digicams

Fujifilm has published updated firmware for several of its recently announced long-zoom digital camera models. Cameras for which the company has newly issued firmware include the FinePix S1600, S1770, S1800, S1880, S2500HD and S2600HD. Two changes apply to operation of all six camera models. Color reproduction is said to be better in live view and movie recording. Samsung NX10 - new firmware available

Samsung Electronics USA has published two updated firmware releases in quick succession for its Samsung NX10 single lens direct view digital camera. The Samsung NX10 firmware v01.04 is described in detail (including installation instructions) in a PDF document on the Samsung Electronics website. Topaz updates Adjust, Detail, ReMask

Topaz Labs has issued updates for several of its recently launched Photoshop plugins. According to a posting made on the company's official blog, some customers have reported issues with crashes or inaccurate preview images when using Topaz Adjust v4.0, Topaz Detail v2.0, and Topaz Remask v2.0.
