Following on from last month's Windows-version update, Nikon USA has published an update to its Capture NX software for Mac OS users. Nikon Capture NX v2.2.4 features several changes from the previous release, including compatibility with Mac OS X v10.6.2. A bug where the program would quit without warning when the Apply Settings box was checked in the Batch Process dialog's Watched Folder panel has been resolved.

A new alpha version of Raw image processing software RawTherapee recently became available on the program's website, providing a preview of the program's overhauled user interface and a slightly tweaked processing algorithm.
